NEW YORK COMIC-CON 2021 | SCOTTOBER

Scottober was the name given to the month of October in 2021 when Comixology Originals launched the first three of eight original series featuring Scott Snyder and various A-list artists. We launched an integrated campaign that extended from email, site merchandising across Kindle and Comixology, cross-team collaborations with IMDb, Amazon Live, and Twitch to a Scottober New York Comic-Con event and accompanying OOH placements around the Javits Center in New York City.

SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON 2022

Comic-Con International: San Diego or perhaps better known as San Diego Comic-Con or SDCC is the largest comic related event in the United States. Each July, hundreds of thousands of fans descend upon the southern California city to access exclusive events, preview blockbuster trailers, meet celebrities, and shop for exclusive merchandise. The high attendance numbers make attending the event a must for all pop-culture related industry businesses. In 2022, our goals were to increase our reach by partnering with more established Amazon businesses like Prime Video and IMDb as well as roll out our new branding with a brand new booth design.

NEW YORK COMIC-CON 2022

The main focus of New York Comic-Con 2022 was the new Comixololgy brand including drawing attention to Comixolgy's line of original content - Comixology Originals, and Comixology's subscription program - Comixology Unlimited. We used the launch of the highly anticipated Scott Snyder x Comixology Originals' title, Book of Evil to accomplish this while also shining a light on the breadth and depth of the Original's program library through an exclusive giveaway and signings. The Comixology Originals' library is available for free to all Comixology Unlimited, Amazon Prime Reading, and Kindle Unlimited subscribers.

AMAZON VIRTUAL-CON 2020

Amazon Virtual-Con was a virtual entertainment focused event in cadence with and supported by San Diego Comic-Con. Due to the cancellation of the physical SDCC July event, several Amazon businesses came together to create a virtual experience filled with content, and accessible to everyone through the Virtual-Con website. The live drawing component took place via the Comixology Twitch Channel and were the most successful component of the event. The idea was to have prominent artists in the comic industry draw in their studios while answering any questions that fans from the Twitch chat submitted.
